Walter Lee Caldwell

Walter Caldwell, formerly of Galt, passed away on December 12, 2022, at his residence in Parkston, South Dakota. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly and numerous nieces and nephews. His wife, Norma (nee Huether), preceded him in death in 2006.  Married in 1957, they later adopted Kim in 1970. Walt graduated from Galt, HS and served in the National Guard. He worked as a gas station attendant as a young man, eventually, buying his own Chevron station. He went into partnership to buy his first AMPM station. He had AMPM stations in Sacramento and Stockton. After Walt retired in 2007, he & Kim moved to South Dakota.
