Billy Van Ornum, 65, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at 5:10 p.m.

Billy was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Terry Van Ornum, building a life centered around family, hard work, and helping others. He was the proud father of Jeff Van Ornum and Jennifer Knapp, and an even prouder grandfather to Bryon Van Ornum, Elias Van Ornum, Valkyrie Knapp, and Azrye Knapp, who brought him endless joy. His grandchildren meant more to him than anything in the world.

Billy is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Wanda Renfro; her husband, Rich Renfro; and their children, Ryan Renfro and Haleigh Hall. He treasured his family deeply and valued the time and memories shared with them throughout his life. Billy was the son of the late Bill and Jackie Van Ornum, whose love and guidance helped shape the man so many knew and loved.

Billy had a passion for fishing, riding motorcycles, and working with his hands. Known as a true jack of all trades, there was almost nothing he couldn’t fix. Family and friends knew that whenever they had a problem to solve or needed advice on how to repair something, Billy was the person to call. He was always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, and help anyone in need without hesitation.

He will be remembered for his generosity, his reliability, his strong spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. Billy leaves behind countless memories, stories, and lessons that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
