William “Bill” Joseph Slaviero, 58, of Galt CA passed away on Tuesday,
January 13, 2026, after a battle with several health conditions.
He was born on March 12, 1967, in Oakland, CA to Raymond and Providence Slaviero.
The youngest of five children, he grew up in Lockeford, CA and went to area schools.
He lived for the last ten years in Galt with his sister Barbara and brother-in-law Gene.
Bill worked for years in the restaurant business. He last worked as a pipe fabricator for
IPEX Mfg. in Lodi.
Bill loved playing his bass; hunting; recreational shooting and knife collecting. He was
fiercely protective of his family and friends. He had a tough exterior, but he was a kind
man who was soft hearted and never intentionally hurt anyone. He was not afraid to
express his opinion and always stood up for what he felt was right. He had a great
sense of humor and loved a good laugh.
Bill leaves behind his sisters Diana (Tomas) Casillas, Barbara (Gene) Obenshain, Carol
(Joey) Coleman, Mary Slaviero; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces,
great-nephews, and his dog Eddie.
He was preceded in death by both parents, nephew Phillip Crispin, niece Vanessa
Zanudo, and his dogs Buster and Annabelle.
A celebration of life will be planned soon.
