Richard (Richie) Howard Meyer, 61 of Galt California passed away early morning on August 26, 2023.

Richie was born on January 17, 1962 to Sandra Schneider and John Meyer. Richie began working as a welder in his freshman year. After graduating from Antioch High School went on to become an expert welder, fabricator and engineer spanning more than 45 years.  His love for his work allowed him to mentor and teach younger welders techniques no longer taught.  He is a legendary welder.

Richie had a fierce sense of humor, loving to play practical jokes and tease gently to those he loved.  He had a big and amazing capacity to give and receive love.  He was extremely protective of and helpful to those he loved.  A rare man in today’s world a true gem and warrior.

In his time of leisure one of the most loved things Richie did was to fish and hunt.  He was extremely skilled. He also loved gardening, home improvements, and sharing his techniques with others.

Richie is survived by his wife Diana Meyer, his children Samantha Meyer and Richard A Meyer, his grandchildren Gianni Phillips and Saoirse Meyer.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.  May you Rest in Peace.
