Raymond Kent Shebelut passed away on January 27, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, California
at the age of 82. Raymond was born on June 03. 1941 in Fresno, CA.
Raymond proudly served his country in the ARMY AUS UNASGD during the Vietnam War from
September 1966 until September 1972, he was a tank driver, was a sergeant drill instructor, then a
corporal drill instructor.
He received National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service
Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He received an Honorable Discharged.
Raymond enjoyed fishing, enjoyed riding horses, but most of all being with family and friends. He was
very full of life and laughter when around family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his daughter Kari Lange, his son Kent Shebelut, eight grandchildren, sisters
Claudia Makey, Cathy Mooney, and Joanne Nelson Parker.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kristin Williams and sister Jackie Stephenson.
