OTTO ANDREW GROSS
Otto Andrew Gross entered into rest on March 21,2024 peacefully at home with his
family at his side.
Otto was born September 23, 1930, in Tappen, N.D. at a very young age his family
moved to California and settled in Galt.
Otto attended grammar school in a one room schoolhouse on the corner of Twin Cities
Rd and Hwy 99. From there he went to Galt High School where he met the love of his
life, Bonnie Williams. Otto graduated in 1949 and December of 1950 he and Bonnie
were married. Together they had three sons, Kenny, Keith, and Jeff.
Otto started his own business, Otto Gross Well Drilling which soon became Otto Gross
and Sons Well Drilling.
Along with hard work, he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and just spending time with
family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Otto is survived by his son Keith (Gail), daughter-in-law Diane, brother Erwin, 6
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Margaret, brother Art, sisters, Anne,
Ruth and Emma, sons Kenny and Jeff, granddaughter, Kendra, and great-grandson Kevin,
and most recently his beloved wife Bonnie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday April 5, 2024, at Brewster's Bar
and Grill 201 4th Street in Galt, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations to hospice would be greatly appreciated.
