Manuela Alvarado, 76, of Galt died from COVID-19 on Feb. 2, 2022 in Lodi. She was born March 16, 1945, in Zacatecas, Mexico, and lived there until 1968, after which she lived in Yettem, California, until 1986 and then Galt for the past 36 years.
Manuela had been employed as a farm worker, and attended St. Christopher’s Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and gardening.
Surviving her are her children, Guadalupe Escobar and Jesus Escobar; mother, Juana Alvarado Guzman; sisters and brothers, Graciela Alvarado, Ema Gonzalez, Dolores Limon, Evangelina Ponce, Piedad Gamez, Martin Alvarado, Clementina Valle, Orquidia Flores; and grandchildren, Johnaton Escobar, Selena Marie Escobar, Xzavier Angelo Escobar and Emily Alexandra Escobar.
