LARRY WARREN Obituary

Larry Lavoy Warren, age 91, of Galt, passed away on Friday, October 18th, 2024.
He was born on October 19, 1932, in Burley, Idaho to Virgil and Lorna (Grow) Warren.
At the age fifteen, Larry and his family moved to Winters, California. Larry went on
to graduate in 1950 from Winters High School where he enjoyed all sports,
excelling in both football and track. After graduation, Larry enlisted in the US Navy
and served thru the end of Korean War in 1953. During a military leave back home,
Larry met the love of his life, Janice Paulsen. Larry and Janice married in 1954 in
Woodland, California and welcomed three boys shortly thereafter. In the early
sixty’s, Larry, Janice and the three boys made the move to Galt. In Galt, they
completed their family by welcoming a daughter and another son.
Early in his career, Larry worked for Bank of America, Peter Kiewit & Sons
(bookkeeper) and in feedlot management. He went on to be the owner/operator of
his own feedlot, Uptite Cattle Company in Herald, California.
In his retirement, Larry loved to fly his Skymaster! He volunteered with LIGA,
Flying Doctors of Mercy; taking medical personnel to Mexico to provide free health
care and education. Larry also flew for fun! He made numerous trips to Mexico and
the California Coast to spend time with family & friends. When flying was not an
option, Larry enjoyed taking his motorhome on trips to the beach, camping and
hunting.
Larry was a member of the Galt Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Johnson (Mike) of Galt, his sons, Brian
Warren (Cindy D), Jerry Warren (Rachelle), Jay Warren (Jean) all of Galt, Michael
Warren (Angie) of Valley Springs, his grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin, Katie, Kara,
Jessica, Matthew, Jacob, Andrew, Sierrah, Michael & Isabella, 7 great-
grandchildren, his sisters, Lola Gay Morgan (John) of Winters, Carol Williams
(Ken) of Idaho, Joyce Haws (Larry) of Utah, his brother, Lorin Warren (Gloria) of
Winters and sister-in-law, Lynnda Warren of Red Bluff.
He is preceded in death, by his wife Janice Warren, his parents, Virgil and Lorna
Warren, his sister, Jeannine Clark, and brother Doug Warren.
