Eulogy Jimmy F Crisp
Jimmy Franklin Crisp was a spit fire, fun, loving, life of the party, golden hearted man whom you couldn’t forget. He was full of life! He worked hard at whatever he did. He was such a respectful young man. He would call people ma’am and sir respecting their authority. Determination was Jimmy’s middle name. I concur with a dear friend of Jimmy’s who described him as a man with a lion’s heart with a 12-year-old’s body. How true it was. He would defend his family and friends to the end. He would take on any size bully. His heart’s desire was to always do the right thing. He would never turn someone down to help them.
As a kid, Jimmy loved sports. He played on a soccer team, loved to wakeboard, snowboard and skateboard, especially on the homemade half-pipe he and his cousin built. He joined FFA in high school where he raised a pig and a chicken. Jimmy was an animal lover. He always had a dog who truly was man’s best friend. He took ag classes in high school that led to his love for welding. In 2015 Jimmy attended a welding trade school in Oklahoma and received his certification as a welder in 2016. He was an exceptional welder. He built fences, gates, repaired hotwalkers and performed multiple jobs using his welding skills. He also learned to be a mechanic and heavy equipment operator working with his grandpa. Both of which he did very well. In early 2021 and until he went home, Jimmy worked as a mechanic and maintenance technician at California Customer Trailers and Power Sports where he was thriving and moving up the ladder.
When Jimmy was 15 years old he went on a Mexico Mission trip with Horizon Community Church. He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized in the ocean in Mexico by Brian Crosson with cousins and friends watching on. Jesus was his friend. Jimmy attended Teen Challenge in Arkansas where he finished high school and received his diploma. He made lots of friends and touched many lives. He was admired by many.
In 2019 he married Kasey Cloud in his grandpa’s orchard celebrating with family and friends. Jimmy admired his grandpa like a father. Having the same name as grandpa was such a privilege for him. Jimmy was thrilled to have the opportunity to take care of his grandpa when he was unable to get around real well. They were best friends. Jimmy was such a family oriented guy. He enjoyed hanging out with family as much as he possibly could.
Even though Jimmy’s life was short on this earth, he left an impression of a lifetime for those who knew him. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts. We miss you! Until we see you again, Jimmy, we love you.
