Jim Templeton passed away in Sacramento following a lengthy illness. Jim was a resident in Galt, CA most of his life. Jim was married to the love of his life Debbie for 37 years. He is also survived by his brother Dale Templeton, nephew Fred Templeton, nieces Stephanie Hendricks, Valerie Hileman, Kali Lanigan and Shelby Crow and many grandkids known to them as the "Big Goober".
Jim was a avid motorcycle rider since his school years on winter break he vacationed by riding to Jackson. He also graduated from the hot rod Kawasaki to add a Ural sidecar that allows passengers to ride as well as Golden Retrievers.
Jim was also a Volunteer Firefighter after graduation from Galt High School and was later hired as a firefighter and mechanic by Galt Fire Protection District, he also became the first EMT2s in this county. Later thru the years he became the Fire Chief that hosted many events in Galt, adding that he was especially skilled at budget control, assuring safe acess and egrees through out district.
A very special person to the Galt Fire Department and those who knew will be missed and remembered for his Legacy and Commitment .
