Jacqulin Colburn Obituary

Mrs. Jackie Colburn of Galt passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 70 from a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 02, 1952, in Minnesota.
Jackie grew up in Pleasant Hill, CA and then moved to Martinez, CA, where she married Terry.
Jackie and her family moved to Galt in 1989.
Jackie worked as a secretary for Liberty Loan and the Bank of California. Jackie then worked at US Steel
for 13 years, both in administration and in the mill. Her last job was with Sonoda Nursey where she
worked for 17 years.
Jackie loved to travel, as a little girl she would ride the train to Fresno to visit family and friends Every
summer you could find her with all of the family in Morro Bay. In September she and her family would
travel to Reno for the Air Races. In 2015, Jackie finally got to visit Europe and she loved every minute.
Jackie was an avid gardener. While working at the nursey, she learned the Latin names for all the plants.
She loved to read and was a frequent visitor to the Galt Library. Jackie was an enthusiastic shopper,
collector of antiques, books, blown glass, cups and saucers and an assortment of other pretty items.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Terry Colburn, sons Trent ( Dani and her son Parker) Nicholas
(Samantha), granddaughter Madalyn, her father Jack Howe, sister Julie Heuser (Paul) nephews Jakob
(Vy), Chris (Claudia), great nieces Nora and Siena, great nephews Isaiah, Bennett and Trevor and cousins
and friends.
She was preceded in death by Phyllis Howe (mother)
Jackie’s quick wit, sense of humor and ready smile will be missed by all .
