JOSE MANUEL SORIA GUZMAN

Jose M. Soria passed away due to complications from surgery on January 10, 2025, in Lodi, CA. Jose was born on January 31, 1946, in Michoacan, Mexico. Jose was a resident of El Troje, Michoacan, Mexico for 53 years, then moving to Galt and making this his home for 26 years.

Jose was employed as a cabinet quality inspector for 12 years.

Jose was affiliated with St. Christopher’s Church.

His hobbies were drawing, tying knots, collecting tools, woodwork (making frames).

Jose is survived by his wife Esther Jimenez (Galt, CA), daughters: Erika Marquez and Therese Soria (Galt, CA), son Omar Soria (Mich. Mx). He is also survived by 4 grandsons: George, Ryan, Omar and Gabriel, and 6 granddaughters: Emili, Stephanie, Kaory, Nathalie, Sofia and Fatima.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday January 21, 2025, at 3-7pm at Ben Salas Funeral Home 149 4th Street, Galt, CA 95632, then there will be a Rosary and Mass on Wednesday January 22, 2025, at 9:00 am at St. Christopher’s Church 950 S. Lincoln Way, Galt, CA 95632 with burial following the service at Galt Cemetery 14180 Joy Drive, Galt, CA 95632.
