Born in Harlingen, Texas, Joe and his wife moved to California where they eventually called Galt home.
Joe loved camping, boating, and anything to do with the outdoors. You could always find him in his
garage working on his beloved Jeep.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he was called home with his loving family by his side.
He is survived by his wife and daughter Esther and Shannen Avalos (Atilio), and two grandchildren Logan
and Landen. His surviving family includes Aurora Castillo, Lily Covarrubias, Josefina Alcantar, Lidia
Charles, Mary (Jesse) Saenz, Bano (Oralia) Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez, David (Nina) Jimenez, Richard
Jimenez, Rudy (Maria) Jimenez, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins
Joe was preceded in death by his father Francisco Jimenez, mother Josefa Jimenez, brother Francisco
Jimenez Junior.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
