Jane was born in Alto Pass, Illinois on June 10, 1947. She joined her loving parents in heaven on December 24, 2024.

Jane lived in Illinois with her family for the first few years of her life. Then her family including, her grandparents, aunts, uncles and her cousins she started life with moved to the Bay Area in California in what her mother described as Grapes of Wrath style.

When she was about 12 years old , her parents and siblings left the Bay Area and moved to Galt. She attended Galt high School and was very active in her church youth group. While in high school he was a majorette. She performed during high school sporting events, parades and competitions. She was so good that she performed with a fire baton. After high school she returned to the Bay Area to attend business school and help out her grandparents.

When she finished school she returned to Galt and worked for Sears in the finance department. She married in 1967 and her daughter was born in 1968. She loved being a mom and since she was an amazing seamstress/designer her daughter and her often had matching outfits.

In 1978, she met the love of her life, Norman Taunton who she was married to the rest of her life. When she married Norman she had a bonus son , Dustin and Norman wasn't just a stepdad but the father who stepped up and helped raise her daughter.

Norman was not just her husband, but her best friend , her business partner and her sole mate. They belonged to the early day gas engine club and a truck club. They would travel all over California, Oregon and Nevada displaying their gas engines and antique trucks at various fairs and shows. They loved traveling to these events together and visiting with their club friends.

Jane was a very loving, kind ,talented, creative, strong woman. Any trials that she faced she overcame with a positive attitude. She was an amazing mother who was a mom first then a friend. She always encouraged her daughter and praised her for her accomplishments. Her actions , not just her words, made those around her feel loved and important.

Jane was the most wonderful party planner. She threw outstanding parties for her daughter , husband and parents that those who attended were always amazed. She loved entertaining her family and friends and always said she could throw a champagne party on a beer budget.

The day Jane passed the world became a little darker. But she will always be remembered for her talents, her strength and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents who loved her so much , Ray and Dolores and her "Giant " of a son in law Harry.
