HELENE HENRIETTA STAMP

Helene Henrietta Stamp

Born April 4, 1925

Passed away April 23, 2024

Preceded in death by her father Henry Stamp and her mother Helene Teresa Stamp and her brothers George Stamp and Norbert Stamp and one one sister Clara Margaret Stamp.  

Helen never was a mother, and she had never married, but she had  two nephews Joe and John Stamp that she loved them as if they were her own children. She worked 30 years in the  Galt school district and  her position as a secretary became known by the children in the school that if they weren’t feeling well or needed anything she always help them.  The family had a dairy on the 99 Frontage Rd. and during the depression, it was known to the hobos and anybody that was passing through they  could always get a meal there and a nights rest.  Helen was voted for the  1969 Citizen of the year for Galt . She also did a lot of posters for the Lodi grape festival And the Grange .  She had a magic touch with printing and drawing, and everybody wanted her to draw or make posters for them .After her and her sister Clara sold the ranch they moved into Galt to live the rest of their life out.  Helen continued to work with the school until she retired  1976.  She loved her trips to Reno with her nephew Joseph, and she loved bowling when they had the Galt lanes and she also bowled in Lodi on Bowling leagues.  To keep herself busy in the convalescent home, she played the accordion for the patients, and Helena also crocheted and embroidered many pillow slips, and hand towels, for the Galt Catholic Church for fundraisers.

Helen leaves behind her nephew, Joseph Stamp, and his wife, Sharyn  Stamp and their children  Shavonia Koga, and her children Christopher, Natalia , and Victoria and her three siblings. Norbert Stamp, who proceeded her in death and his son Norbert Edward stamp II and his wife mercedes, Joseph Boyd Stamp and his two sons Vincent and Joey ,Rachel Stamp Dennis, who proceeded her in death and her three children. Donnie Stamp, and his two daughters, and Keenan Stamp And his three children, Angel Peoples and her husband, Derek, and their 6 children, Shannon Stamp Chess and Steve Eades.

Her nephew, John Peter Stamp and his sons John Stamp and his wife Jenny and their four children Julie, Quentin, Jonathan and Benny. Also, John’s other son Andy Stamp, and his fiancé Angie.. 

They will be a viewing of Helen at Ben Salas funeral home in Galt on May 1, 2024. At 12:00 noon to 4:00pm

There will be a private family graveside service for Helen at the Galt cemetery
