FRANK PRADO

Francisco Prado (1943-2025)
Francisco “Pancho” Prado, 82, a devout Roman Catholic from Galt, California, returned
to God in Sacramento, California on October 13th , 2025.
He was born in San Antonio Guaracha, Michoacán, in 1943 to Jose Guadalupe and
Consuelo Prado, and he worked his entire life to support his family. He was an avid
soccer player and a founder of the Nacozari soccer field in Los Reyes, Michoacán. He
worked at various agricultural fields across California and Michoacán and at the Tri
Valley Growers cannery in Thornton, California. He retired with Cardinal CG as an
expert forklift driver.
Francisco was a devoted Roman Catholic who cherished his Bible and the teachings of
Jesus Christ. He attended St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Galt, California, and took
solace in knowing the Lord was watching over him and his family.
He enjoyed being a lector during mass and participating in prayer groups. His favorite
Bible verse was Psalm 27. His Roman Catholic values shaped every aspect of his life
and molded him into the beloved person he was.
Francisco was preceded in death by his loving son Frank Prado Jr., parents Jose
Guadalupe and Consuelo Prado, his brother Jose Luis Prado, his brother Manuel
Prado, his sister Otilia Prado, his sister Lupe Prado, and his father and mother-in-law
Ignacio Esquivel and Sofia Orozco, who he will meet again in Heaven. He is survived by
his loving wife Olivia Prado, daughters Monica and Lucia Prado, sons Andres and
Gilbert Prado, grandchildren Tatiana Marie Prado and Frank Paul Prado, daughter in-
law Stephanie Peña, sons-in-law Ryan Gleave and Salvador Mena, who all know
Francisco will be waiting for them in the afterlife.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, October 28th at Ben Salas Funeral Home from 1:00p.m.-
6:00p.m., with the Rosary beginning at 5:00p.m. The mass will be said on Wednesday,
October 29th at St. Christopher's Catholic Church at 10:30a.m., with committal following
at the Galt-Arno Cemetery.
