DAVID LEE HATHAWAY

David Lee Hathaway, 82, passed away peacefully with his two daughters by his side in
the early morning hours of September 27th , 2025, in Lodi California. David was born in
Bend Oregon and grew up in the Redding California area. David served in the Navy and
later became a Union sprinkler fitter, proudly retiring after a 30-year career.
David enjoyed playing golf and tennis in his spare time. He loved travelling in his
camper and spending time camping with friends and attending family reunions. In the
last years of David’s life, he enjoyed family gatherings with all the kids, grandkids and
extended family surrounding him.
David’s wife Ellen, daughter Rona, sister Glenda, and brother Donald proceeded him in
death. He is survived by his younger brother Roger Hathaway, daughters Renee
Bernardy (Dan Wheeler) and Robin DeFehr; as well as his grandchildren Amoreena
Negrete (Robert Negrete), Dakota Bernardy, Austin Bernardy (Makayla Bernardy), Jeris
DeFehr (Justin Archuleta), James DeFehr (Shea Larkin), and Braden Wheeler (Izaiah
Halmos). David is also survived by one great grandchild Aiden Negrete.
A celebration of life will be held at his home 13456 Mc Farland St. Galt Ca.95632 on
December 13 th , 2025 from noon to 4pm, stop by and share your favorite memory of David.
