CARL G PEARSON

Carl Gustav Pearson, age 93, of Fair Oaks, CA, passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2024, surrounded by close friends and family. Born on April 6th, 1931, Carl lived a full and passionate life, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to the world of plants and gardening. For over 30 years, Carl worked at Capital Nursery, where he was known not just as an employee, but as a true plant enthusiast and expert gardener. His knowledge and passion for horticulture were unparalleled, and he was always eager to share his wisdom with customers and colleagues. Carl's commitment to gardening extended far beyond his work; his personal garden was a vibrant and flourishing testament to his lifelong love for plants. Carl was a cherished friend and neighbor, known for his kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm for gardening. His beautiful garden was a sanctuary for many, and he spent countless hours tending to it with care and joy. Carl's legacy will live on in the many lives he touched and in the gardens he helped to cultivate. In addition to his love for gardening, Carl was a proud and active member of the Sierra Kronan Lodge No. 737 in Roseville for 25 years. He was part of the VASA Order of America, District Lodge Golden Gate No. 12, where he formed many lasting friendships and contributed to the community. Carl is survived by his two loving sisters, Dolores Coupe and Darlene Pearson, as well as a close-knit group of friends who were like family to him. A celebration of Carl's life will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2024, at Ben Salas Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to “ The Nature Conservancy “ Carl will be remembered for his green thumb, kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on his community. His love for gardening and plants will continue to bloom in our memories.
